Runners from Le Roy are Emily Mennenga, Lily Monigold, Colin Dunafin, and Jaydyn Coulter. For Emily, Colin, and Jaydyn, it was their first ever meet. Out of the other teams, they placed 9th out of 13 on the boys team, and 6th out of 10 on the girls team. The boys had about 150 total runners, and the girls had about 135. Top 20 on each team received a medal. Medalists from Tri-Valley/Le Roy included Henry Masters (Tri-Valley) who placed 15th with time of 17:30, and Lily Monigold (Le Roy) who placed 8th with a time of 20:13.
The next meet will be home on September 7th. Come to Morraine View at 4:30 pm to support the team there! Players, cheerleaders, the band, and the students were finally ready for a game to get pumped up at. With the student section theme as tropical/Hawaiian, students came to show support with their best Hawaiian shirts, leis, and even a coconut bra worn by Aiden Osborn. Students also went as far as making signs to support Le Roy. While the game's outcome may not have been amazing with the score at 6-41, it was clear that both players and spectators had incredible school spirit. The next home game will be this Friday, September 3rd against Heyworth at 7:00 pm. Students have been invited to a tailgate and burger at 5:45 pm before the game for another night of fun. Be there!
